A South Bend woman, Destiny Gritzmaker, 32, was arrested after allegedly driving drunk and crashing into the back of a semi trailer on the Indiana Toll Road near mile marker 79 in St. Joseph County on Saturday afternoon. Indiana State Police had received a report of an erratic driver near mile marker 85 just before 2 p.m., and minutes later received a report that the same vehicle had struck the semi. Gritzmaker showed signs of impairment and was transported to a hospital for an impairment test and treatment of injuries. She was later booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated - Endangerment. The semi driver was uninjured. Source.
