A fiery multi-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 270 in south St. Louis County killed a 58-year-old tractor-trailer driver and seriously injured a 32-year-old man in a pickup truck. The crash occurred around 3:55 a.m. near the Missouri Route 21 interchange. A trash truck and a pickup truck had collided and stopped in the third lane. The tractor-trailer driver did not see the stopped vehicles in time, steered right to avoid them, but still struck the pickup truck, which then struck the trash truck. Source.
